WHAT MAKES A BRANSBY BUNNY BUILDING DIFFERENT ?
With a name like Bransby Bunny you would expect something different and that is exactly what you get. We still believe in old values such as quality and service. Most of our designs and modification are the result of listening carefully to what our customers want. We don't pretend to be the cheapest manufacturer of timber buildings but we will provide you with an exceptional building that will give good service for years to come. Our specification speaks for itself:
  • Top Quality Northern Scandinavian slow-grown redwood
The timber we use is sourced from Scandinavia where the higher latitude and cooler temperatures means the wood grows more slowly than in the UK making it much stronger, this makes it much more suitable for our buildings.
  • Tongued and grooved boarding used throughout (not rebated)
The use of tongued and grooved boarding means the whole building is much more structurally sound as all boards on a wall panel are interlocked allowing greater strength.
  • Round-edged framing for a superior finish
Round edged framing means theres no rough edges and less chance of getting splinters, a must in buildings like our childrens playhouses or summerhouses and an added bonus for sheds.
  • Glass-fibre based roofing felt for longer life
Glass-fibre based roofing felt lasts much longer than ordinary rag-based felt used by most companies. The rag based felt begins to rot as water seeps into it and so after time will disintegrate. Glass-fibre based felt lasts much longer because it cannot rot as glass-fibre doesn't rot when in water.
  • Treated inside and out, including the roof
All our buildings are pressure treated meaning the treatment is "drawn into" the wood under pressure and so the wood is treated all the way through. This means your building NEVER has to be treated again, but can be treated for cosmetic purposes if you wish.
WHAT IS LINING AND INSULATION?
Lining and insulation involves lining the walls and roof of the building with white faced polyply and insulating it with resin re-inforced glass fibre. The lining and insulation keeps the building cool in the summer and warm in the winter so is perfect for aviaries and catteries.
  • Resin re-inforced glass fibre
Resin re-inforced blocks of glass fibre are used to insulate the building, this is similair to the loft insulation used in houses but is impregnated with resin to prevent the insulation slumping into the bottom of the building.
  • White faced polyply
The lining material is a type of plywood faced with a hard white polyester resin to prevent scratches in it from claws, etc which in turn protects the health of your animals because there are no scratches for dirt to get into and the white smooth plastic finish makes cleaning easier.
