SPECIFICATION

Roofing felts used on Bransby Bunny buildings

When roofing felt is used on our timber buildings it is supplied with GREEN as standard, unless an alternative finish has been requested and paid for.

GREEN FELT is a quality glass fibre based flexible roof felt with a green mineral chip that resists cracking and splitting, unlike other inferior felts

AFTERCARE

We pride ourselves in giving you high quality products, service and workmanship

Most of the timber used in the manufacture of your unit is tanalised (pressure treated) i.e treated against woodwork amd rot for longevity.

Although your unit is manufactured from tanalised timber, we still highly recommend that you condition your unit (not forgetting the roof trims) shortly after delivery. Timber is a natural product and the drying effects of the sun and the absorption of water from the rain affect it. Sealing your unit will give maximum protection from the sun and repel the water from the rain.

If you like the natural colour of your unit, two coats of a clear treatment such as a decking seal or water seal should be applied (available from most DIY superstores). Alternatively, you may wish to change the colour of your unit to match existing timber units in your garden. Therefore, choose a coloured treatmentof your choice, such as Cuprinol.

When your unit has had time to settle, depending on the evenness of your base, you may find that a few adjustments may be necessary around the doors and/or gates, in particular the hump for the padbolt may need adjusting either up or down.

Lights and Electrical Conduit

Please note that the timbers used on the roof of your unitare 12.5mm thick. If at any time you wish to fix lights or electrical conduit to the roofing timbers, please ensure that the screws are of a suitable length to ensure that they do not pierce the rooing felt above.

Washable lining board (if fitted)

Due to the nature of lining board, during times of heat you will find that it expands. This is a natural state and will return to its normal size when cooler conditions resume.

Where we are assembling lined and insulated units, we strongly recommend that a period of 24 hours after the completion of the assembly be given before housing any animal. This is due to the usage of silicone sealant

Annual Check

Felt - Check the felt for tears, rips and any raised tacks. Tacks will need to be hammered back into place. Remove any debris from the roof such as leaves, bird droppings etc. Check and cut back overhanging trees to prevent them brushing against the felt

Walls - Check the timber panels for any cracks and knots. Silicone should be used to do these minor repairs. Condition with appropriate product as mentioned previously.

Glass / Acrylic - Check if any panes are broken, replace if necessary. Keep windows clean (keeps the appearance nice)

Hinges and Locks - Oil locks and hinges if supplied.
